It’s been 26 weeks already of googling what you can eat, seeing doctors, keeping the secret and then telling the people around us little by little, seeking advice, getting paranoid about infectious diseases, receiving baby stuff from our friends, attending talks, thinking names, making plans and worrying about things we didn’t think of, not caring about things we should probably care about, moving to a bigger apartment, touching your belly and feeling something move, honestly thinking you are getting prettier, looking at children in the street and wondering if he will be like them, admiring you and feeling a little proud myself, ordering parenting books, letting people tell us ‘your life is going to change’, and, eventually, being surprised at how exciting these things can be.
